October 1, 1953— March 2, 2026
Indianapolis, IN
William Aldy Keene of Indianapolis passed away on March 2, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, on October 1, 1953, to Aldy and Jacqueline (Yates) Keene, he grew up with a deep love of learning that shaped his life. A proud alumnus of The Ohio State University, where he lived in the Stadium Scholarship Dormitory under the 'Shoe, he went on to earn his A.B.D. in Economics from The University of Chicago. He later taught at Purdue University before founding the Loyalty Research Center in 1997. Through the Center, he partnered with companies around the world, applying his proprietary analytics to help them strengthen customer relationships.
Aldy was a man of many passions. A voracious reader, dedicated tennis player, and skilled chess strategist, he approached his hobbies with the same intelligence and focus that defined his professional life. Those who knew him will remember his sharp mind, quiet warmth, and the steady presence he offered to his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Natinne Keene; daughter, Jacqueline Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Alexander Keene and Ally Amenta; son, William Aldy Keene, Jr. (AJ); grandchildren, Nolan and Carmen Davis; and his beloved dogs, Oliver and Tux. Aldy was preceded in death by his father and, nine years earlier on the same day, by his mother.
