November 23, 1952— March 11, 2026
Rockingham, NC
Willard Robert “Bill” LoCascio, 73, of Richmond County, North Carolina, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on November 23, 1952, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, he was the son of Alice Marie Mullen LoCascio, who survives him and resides in South Amboy, New Jersey, and the late Fiorello Robert LoCascio.
Bill grew up in Sayreville, New Jersey. At eighteen he joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He often joked about jumping out of “perfectly good airplanes,” and what began as a military posting became home. North Carolina is where he built his life and raised his family.
By trade an electrician, Bill was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to fix just about anything. He was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and someone who never met a stranger. Above all, he was a devoted family man whose greatest pride was his children and grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pop or Pops.
He is survived by his former wife, Helen Lovin LoCascio, and his significant other, Susan Raines; his four children, Christopher Ray LoCascio (April) of Rockingham, Liza Marie LoCascio of Apex, Jonathan Alexander LoCascio (Stacey) of Calabash, and Peyton Brianna Patrick (Austin) of Rockingham; and his cherished grandchildren, Levi Thomas LoCascio, Jack Alexander LoCascio, Jillian Marie LoCascio, and Lainey Jade Patrick. He is also survived by his mother, Alice, his five sisters—Ann Marie Hogan of Rockingham, Norine Richardson of Indianapolis, Kathryn Clark of Derby, Kansas, Mary Agnes LoCascio of Eatontown, New Jersey, and Roberta Ferlita of Sayreville, New Jersey—and many beloved nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends.
Bill’s larger-than-life personality, his love of music and sports, and his gift for making others feel special will be remembered by all who knew him. Whether grilling for the family, debating the latest game, or simply showing up for the people he loved, he lived with warmth, generosity, and an unshakable loyalty. His legacy continues in the stories, laughter, and love shared by those he held dear.
