Price, 45, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, as a result of a brief illness at Riverview Hospital. He was born on August 9, 1980, in Muncie, a son to Stanley Price and Arlene K. (Worth) Price.Loving. Kind. Gentle. Amazing. Devoted. These are just a few of the many words that describe the remarkable man Whitney was. He was a father, brother, son, grandfather, uncle, and friend. A life taken too soon. His passing leaves an un-fillable space in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and to know Whitney was truly to love him and his vibrant spirit.Whitney was a member of the Delta High School Class of 1998. During his school years, he participated in track and cross country, theater & music, developing the work ethic that would follow him throughout his life. As he grew older, he discovered his true passion in the culinary arts.He attended the Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon, where he excelled in his studies and refined the skills that would shape his career as a chef. Whitney interned as a chef with Starker's Reserve in Kansas City before working as a Sous Chef with the Ritz Charles and then later as Executive Chef for Picasso. Eventually, Whitney helped open Bleecker Street Eatery in Cicero, Indiana. Though he later became a contract worker in the IT industry, his love for cooking never faded.Whitney especially enjoyed participating in BBQ competitions, where he shared his talent with friends, family, and fellow pit masters. Known for his incredible burnt ends and brisket, he had a gift for bringing people together around good food, leaving a lasting impression not only on their hearts, but on their stomachs as well.Outside of the kitchen, Whitney was a passionate outdoorsman who cared deeply about conservation. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and supported the Leave No Trace program, reflecting his appreciation for the outdoors and his commitment to preserving it for future generations.Those left to cherish Whitney's memory include his two children, Andee Lynn (Jon) Thompson of Hudson, Wisconsin and Ailis Teagan Price of Noblesville; his beloved mother, Arlene (Worth) Price of Anderson; his siblings, Stanley Kirk (Maryanne) Price of Noblesville, Seth (Anna) Price of Edgewood, Jared (Briana) Price of Yorktown, and Michelle Perez of New Castle; his grandchildren, Ember Thompson, Oliver Thompson and a grandbaby on the way, as well as several nieces and nephews.Whitney was preceded in death by his Father, Stanley Price in 2019, as well as his grandparents; Everett and Mollie Price, and Elvin and Lucille Worth.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 9, 2026 at Losantville Separate Baptist Church with Rev. Clayton "Corky" Klingenfus officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery in Yorktown.Friends may call from 2 - 5 pm on Sunday, March 8th at Sproles Family Funeral Home in New Castle.Whitney will be remembered for the genuine kindness he showed to everyone he met.
