Wesley Harlan Hudson
December 20, 1956— March 7, 2026
Nashville, TN
Wesley Harlan Hudson, born in Nashville, Tennessee, on December 20, 1956, passed away on March 7, 2026. From his earliest days, he displayed the wit, knowledge, and caring spirit that defined his life and touched everyone around him.
Wesley served with the Nashville fire department beginning in 1984 for thirty-five years. He also sold and serviced fire trucks alongside his father and brother, earning the trust of many through his deep expertise and steady dedication. His commitment to service extended beyond his career as he volunteered with the Nashville Fire Credit Union and proudly supported the Fire Buffs, always ready to help and lift others up.
In his free time, Wesley enjoyed camping beside quiet lakes, fishing, and working on antique vehicles and tractors. Those close to him remember his love of food and his role as the resident food critic at the firehouse, where he shared meals and laughter with equal enthusiasm. Above all, family was the center of his world. He was the steadfast rock for his loved ones and a loyal friend to many.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marcella “Marcie” Hudson; daughter, Renee Hudson (Richard); brother, James Hudson (Cheryl); son, Stephen Hyde (Hailey); grandchildren, Alysa Grant and Savannah Thompson (Steven); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hyde, Madelyn Biggs, and Oakland Harlan Hudson Hyde; niece, Elise Hudson (George); nephews, Jaime Hudson (Amanda) and Taylor Hudson (Jess); great-niece, Adelie Hudson; mother-in-law, Connie Lieb; and his extended fire family. Wesley is reunited with his parents, Donald and Marie Hudson.
