May 24, 1963— February 27, 2026
Green Bay, WI
Wesley Alen Malueg, age 63, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away from heart failure on Friday, February 27. Born on May 24, 1963, to Emanuel and Sylvia (Ploeger) Malueg, Wes grew up in Seymour, Wisconsin. As a boy, he was known for his rambunctious spirit and the many adventures he shared with his closest friends, Dan and Joe Bluma and Joel Dery.
Wes was a dedicated and hardworking man with an entrepreneurial spirit. He spent many years as a custodian with the Green Bay School District, often referring to himself with his characteristic humor as a “DSJ.” In addition to his work there, he launched several businesses, including Star Bright floor care, Rent a Blimp, and M&M Fireworks. Despite suffering a stroke in 2005 that left him without the use of his left arm and with a limp in his left leg, Wes remained determined and active. He was well known in his neighborhood for helping others with lawn care, snow removal, and various tasks using his one good arm. His neighbors cherished his presence, with one remarking that it simply would not be the same without him.
Wes was the father of three children: Felicia Malueg, Joshua Malueg, and Alexander (Alex) Malueg. He is also survived by his beloved granddaughter, Addison (Addy) Breese. He was preceded in death by his children Joshua and Felicia, his parents, and his siblings JoAnne Malueg and Johnny Malueg.
In his final weeks, Wes was lovingly supported by his son Alex and Alex’s partner Marta, his sister Karen, his brother Wayne, and his cousin Kurt. He is survived by Alex (Marta) Malueg and Addy Breese, as well as Karen Hackleberg (Dave Peterson), Jeff Malueg, Ken (Betty) Malueg, Bonnie Hill, Brenda (Wayne) Vaughan, Wayne (Jaci) Malueg, Kurt Ploeger, his longtime best friend Joel Dery, and many nieces and nephews. Wes will be laid to rest next to his daughter Felicia.
