Wendy Olsen

Wendy Olsen (née Sherwood), 70, of Cresskill, passed away on March 5, 2026 from complications of dementia. Born in Pensacola, Florida, she worked for 30 years as a cashier at the Grand Union, later Stop & Shop, in Tenafly before retiring in 2019. She lived for a time in Houston, Texas, before returning to the Demarest, New Jersey area.

Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Marjorie Sherwood, her twin sister Martha, and her brother William, Wendy is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Olsen. She was the devoted mother of Jennifer, Kenny, and Ian, the loving grandmother of Megan, Hailey, Aiden, and Leland, and the great-grandmother of Oliver. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Leslie Wiles and Betty Blanchard.

Wendy will be remembered for her steady presence in the lives of her family and the quiet dedication she showed to those she loved.
