Wendy

Wendy peacefully passed away on March 10, 2026. Facing many challenges throughout her life, she left her family home in Saskatchewan at the age of six and moved to Portage la Prairie, where she lived at the MDC for the majority of her years. In late 2023, she had the opportunity to move into the community with New Directions, and in that short time she touched many hearts.

The oldest in her family, Wendy is survived by her sisters Wanda, Wanita, and Wynette, who will carry her memory forward. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Marvin and Norma, and her brother Monty. Her roommates, friends, and staff will always hold her in a special place in their hearts. Though Wendy could not speak, her gentle smile conveyed that she felt safe, happy, and loved.
