He departed this life on March 2, 2026, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Tommie Fogel- Willis, sisters Bobbie Willis, Vera Gousby, Frankie Willis and Mary Gulley and brothers Charles (CW) Willis, Jonah Willis, Ollie Willis, Alonzo Willis, Jr., and Agee Willis. He lived his formative years in Camden, Ar., and moved to New York City shortly after graduating from Lafayette High School in the early 1960s.He began working for a raincoat manufacturing company and later became employed with the New York City Transit Authority. He maintained two jobs during his career and enjoyed fishing on the weekends and spending quality time with family. After retiring from the New York City Transit Authority, he spent his leisure time learning to play golf. He returned to his hometown in 1994 with his wife, Brenda and granddaughters, Samantha, and Christine whom they raised.He enjoyed a long retirement and spent his days managing Camden Pawn, fishing, hunting, golfing, and hosting his famous fry for family. He was a faithful man of God and loyal member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He cherished his family, loved helping others and was enthusiastic about improving his community. He devoted time to those less fortunate and supported Shriners Children Hospital, St. Judes, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Brenda Willis of Camden, Ar., children Felicia Willis of New York City, Dartanga Willis of New York City, Gregg Duggins of New York City, Dana Duggins of New York City and Adrienne Duggins-Willis of New York City, sisters Elizabeth Willis of Joliet, Il., Elena Willis of Camden Ar., brother Nelson Willis of Camden, Ar., grandchildren Tiesha Willis, Rory Willis, April Stone, Antonia Stone, Samantha Duggins, Christine Holt, Imani Graham and a host of great-grandchildren.Although we are heartbroken, there is joy behind our tears. We are grateful for the time we had with him.
