Wayne Sutton

Wayne Sutton, born on April 17, 1967, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Ida and the late Gene Sutton, passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 58. A beloved husband of ten years to Angela Marie Vetrone, he was a loving father to Cody Waisner and Jayden Waisner. Wayne was the dear brother of Melinda (Darryl Williams) Sutton, Tyrone (Vanessa) Sutton, Lisa (Freddie) Dulaney, Dana Sutton, LaMont Knox, Monica Sutton, and the late Sherry Kilgore, Richard Kilgore, Gene Sutton Jr., and Vickey Sutton. He cherished his numerous nieces and nephews and was a devoted brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Wayne was a star swimmer during his time at Berkeley High School and approached every endeavor with a strong work ethic. He dedicated himself fully to his career until his marriage to Angela, after which he gave his life to Christ and focused on being a devoted husband and father to Cody, Jayden, and their beloved dogs, Smudgie and Gracey. He found joy in watching movies and television, had a deep love for worship music, and treasured his family above all else.

He will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
