Wayne Rasor, 83, of White Hall, passed away on March 11, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. Born on August 24, 1942, in Paris, Texas, to Fay and Edith Jones Rasor, he moved to Arkansas at a young age and was reared and educated in White Hall. Known for his quick wit, humorous nature, and genuine selflessness, Wayne had a remarkable ability to see the good in everyone he met.
He pastored several churches in Mississippi, Texas, and Arkansas before owning and operating Pro Tank Lining. Later, he and his family opened The Lighthouse Restaurant in White Hall, which he ran until selling it in 2013. Deeply involved in his community, Wayne served on the advertisement and promotion committee that helped establish the James “Jitters” Morgan White Hall Community Center. An avid golfer, he achieved 11 holes-in-one during his lifetime and was a longtime member of the Jaycees Golf Course.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, J.C. Rasor, and a sister, Etta Faye Delahunt. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen Monk Rasor, whom he married on July 25, 1967, in Ida Bell, Oklahoma; his children, Daniel “Danny” Rasor (Lesley), Jimmy Carroll Ingram, Deanna Smith (Michael), and David Brashier (Laura); his brother, Dean Rasor (Carra); his sister, Freda Pennington; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
