With more than thirty years of experience in the culinary arts, Wayne was a gifted chef whose talent brought warmth and joy to countless family gatherings. He took genuine delight in preparing meals that became the heart of cherished memories, expressing his love through the dishes he created for those closest to him.
Beyond the kitchen, Wayne found happiness in the lively atmosphere of Bingo Paradise, where he spent many joyful hours calling numbers and sharing laughter with friends and fellow players. His vibrant personality and easy smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his sister, Freda Alford; his niece, Tanya Hernandez; and his nephews, Jeremy Procell, Jason Moore, and Mark Tucker. Wayne also leaves behind many great-nieces, great-nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly. His beloved “fur baby,” Honey, brought him constant companionship and joy throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Earline Place; his sisters, Linda Weldon, Patsy Procell, and Dorothy Tucker; his niece, Krystal Procell; and his nephews, Robbie Alford, Joey Alford, David Alford, Steve Procell, and Ronnie Tucker.
Wayne’s legacy as a talented cook and devoted family man will live on in the stories shared around the table and in the hearts of all who knew his kindness.
