Wayne M. Almand

Wayne M. Almand passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at his home in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 85. Born on August 27, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas, to Ray and Mary June Almand, Wayne spent much of his life in Floresville, where he became a familiar and respected figure in the community.

A proud union electrician, Wayne was initiated into the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in May 1967 and remained a dedicated member of Local Union 60 throughout his career. He took great satisfaction in the craftsmanship of his trade and the sense of brotherhood the union provided. In his free time, he found deep enjoyment in the outdoors, cherishing the quiet and simplicity nature offered.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Almand; his parents, Ray and Mary June Almand; and his sister, Elaine Tucker.

Wayne is survived by his children, Bobbi Jo Hanus, Tony Almand, Loyd Almand, James Almand, and Ray Almand, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a hardworking man who took quiet pride in his family, his profession, and the life he built. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
