He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Welton and Pauline Drinkard; his wife Charlotte Marie Drinkard; and his brother Jerry Drinkard. He is survived by: his siblings, Karen Williams of Milan, Paula Green of Lexington, Johnny Drinkard (Penny) of Cedar Grove and Henry Drinkard (Deanna) of Huntingdon. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home (21190 E Main St, Huntingdon, TN 38344). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
