Wayne Arthur Yohe

Wayne Arthur Yohe, age 82, of Sanford, North Carolina, passed away at his home on March 11, 2026. Born in San Francisco, California on September 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Walter Arthur Yohe and Lillian Pearl Lepesco.

Wayne served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965 before enlisting in the North Carolina National Guard, where he continued to serve until 1992 while simultaneously working for the United States Postal Service. He retired from the Postal Service after more than twenty-five years of dedicated service. He found great joy in spending time with his wife, dancing, exploring new technology, and traveling across the country to visit and photograph lighthouses.

He is survived by his wife of more than forty-two years, Doris, of Sanford; his brother John; his daughter Christine; his daughter-in-law Kristina; and his sons-in-law Jon and Donald. Wayne also leaves behind grandchildren and great-grandchildren from his daughter, as well as his extended in-laws.
