Wayne Whiteley ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Mar. 6, 2026.With sorrow we announce the passing of Wayne Alvin Whiteley, a man who had a lot of adversity in his life but still became a good, decent, caring man. Wayne was born on May 25, 1962, and departed this life on March 4, 2026. Although Wayne grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas and spent some of his youth in Oklahoma he spent most of his adult life traveling throughout the country, living in various places, meeting new people, and working many jobs.Loving to read he constantly had a book in hand enjoying fiction, true crime, biographies, history, fantasy, pretty much anything he could read, enjoy, and learn from. He had a passion for helping the elderly and worked in nursing homes throughout much of his life discovering new things from his elders and helping them as much as he could with their transition from this earthly life.Wayne was born to Wayness Wesley Whiteley and Doris Leavine York Whiteley Brooks who are both awaiting him in Heaven. His greatest love growing up was his grandmother (Mamaw) Annie Lee Boyce York Burks who also was there to meet him in HeavenHe will be greatly missed and forever remembered. He is survived by his children. He also leaves behind 3 sisters he loved dearly – Lynne Whiteley Fabing, Qurshella Whiteley, and Renea Whiteley Mills and 5 nephews – Patrick Looney, Caleb Looney, Alex Willits, Ethan Willits, and Aaron Willits. There will be no memorial service and Wayne will be cremated. We invite all who knew Wayne to join us in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to honor Wayne's legacy by donating to and/or visiting nursing home residents so they understand they are cared for. This, we believe, would be the best tribute to his life.Cremation arrangements by A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400.
