Warren David Balliet

Warren David Balliet, age 85, of Lansford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Coaldale. Born on February 26, 1941, in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, he was the cherished husband of Eleanor M. (Sherbin) Balliet.

The beloved son of the late Warren G. and Evelyn (Gould) Balliet, Warren carried their memories with him throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. A graduate of Tamaqua High School’s Class of 1960, he went on to become a valued partner at Zimbels in Hazleton, where his dedication and strong work ethic earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

Warren found great joy in golf and was a past member of the Mahoning Country Club, where he formed lasting friendships on the course. He also cherished his vacations in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he found relaxation and contentment.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Eleanor M. Balliet; his brother, Dennis Balliet, and Dennis’s wife, June; his sister, Yvonne Onuscho; and many nieces and nephews who remember him with great fondness. His life was marked by quiet commitment to family, country, and community, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
