Wanda Virginia Hagan

Wanda Virginia Hagan, age 83, of Fountain Run, Kentucky, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Saint Thomas West in Nashville, surrounded by her family. Born in Monroe County on February 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Lolus and Mattie (Smalling) Comer. A 1961 graduate of Gamaliel High School, Wanda enjoyed a long career with the United States Postal Service, serving as Postmaster of the Austin Tracy Post Office until her retirement in 2004. She found joy in dancing with the Barren River Cloggers and remained a faithful member of the Old Fountain Run Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, James Hagan and wife Robin of Tompkinsville, and John Comer Hagan and Tonya of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Tamara Hollinsworth, Autumn Rhodes and Jeff, Gavin Hodges and Brandon, Makeala Hagan, Jacob Hagan, and Noah Hagan; and seven great-grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Lolus and Mattie Comer, and her brother, Roger Comer.

She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose quiet strength and warm presence touched the lives of all who knew her.
