Wanda Sue Walker

Wanda Sue "Susie" Walker was born on September 13, 1946, in Macks Creek, Missouri, the daughter of Emmitt and Lorine (Vance) Johnson. She passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 79.

Susie married the love of her life, William "Bill" Walker, on September 17, 1966, in Ozark, Missouri. Together they raised their son, Bryan Walker. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found deep joy in her family.

A woman of Missionary Baptist faith, Susie had a creative and caring spirit. She loved sewing, making quilts, crocheting, and reading. She also found fulfillment in teaching nursing and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Thelma (Bernie) Simmons, and her brother-in-law Eddie Steagall. Susie is survived by her husband Bill, her son Bryan, her sister Marie Steagall, four grandchildren—Kaitlyn Viets, Adrianna Griffith, Brianna Griffith, and Preston Griffith—and three great-grandchildren—Ava Kelly, Maverick Kelly, and Anisley Kelly.
