Wanda Ludean (Henson) Stevens, 89, of Kearney, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born on August 14, 1936, in Kearney to Dugan and Elsie E. (Johnson) Henson, she spent much of her life devoted to her family and the farming life she cherished. Wanda possessed a spirited personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She often described herself with the words, “Sassy, classy, and a little badassy,” and liked to say, “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, but I sure can cuss,” capturing the humor and authenticity that defined her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dugan and Elsie Henson; her husband, James A. Stevens; her son, Jerry Stevens; and her sister, Eleanor “Peaches” Stock.

Wanda is survived by her children, Russell Stevens and Sandy Reichert and her husband, Craig Reichert. She was a proud grandmother to Maggie (Stevens) Kingman, Katie (Stevens) Maidment, Dylan Stevens, Daniel Reichert, and David Reichert, and was blessed with four great-grandsons who brought her great joy. She will be remembered for her strength, humor, and fierce love for her family. Her legacy of hard work, resilience, and laughter will live on through those who knew and loved her.
