Wanda Kay Brown

Wanda Kay Brown, 74, of Campti, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at her home. Born on July 10, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was known for her kind and loving nature toward everyone she met.

Wanda cherished her family above all, especially her grandson Tater, who cared for her with devotion until the end. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Brown; her parents, Pete and Ruby Slaughter; her son, Mikey Judah; four brothers, G.T., Billy, Dean, and Timmy; and two sisters, Fay and Wilma Ray.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristal Brown; two grandsons, Tater and Joey; her sister, Muriel Upshaw; nephews Bobby and Deano Pullig; and nieces Sherry, Carolyn, Marshia, Ann, Diane, and Youvon. Wanda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
