Wanda Jean Wegmiller, 70, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away on March 11, 2026, in her hometown. Born on June 5, 1955, to DeEarl and Lena Myers Williams, Wanda grew up in Enid and remained deeply connected to the community throughout her life.
She married Jay Wegmiller on September 21, 2001, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Together they operated the family business, the Flamingo, where Wanda worked for many years as a waitress. She found simple joys in sitting beneath her shade tree, thrift shopping, gardening, and tending to her beloved plants. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren, who were the center of her world, and her devoted dog, Lola.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Janis Shiplet and Joyce Ford, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Jay, her children DeAnna and Shawn McCartney and Erin Klein, her sisters Carolyn Pearson, Judy Gettings, and Brenda Priest, her brother Danny Williams, nine grandchildren—Brookelyn McCartney, Mallory Heinrich, Ainsley Heinrich, Katelyn McCartney, Clayton McCartney, Shanley O’Neill, Tayvian Johnson, Tate Quintero, and Gentry Klein—and her great-granddaughter Athena Nunley.
