Her surviving sibling Kay Webb. Predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth Walker, and Dale human. As a child Wanda moved from Tennessee to Gas City, Indiana where she then attended business school. After meeting her loving husband George she moved to Danielson, CT, Scotia, NY, then settled in Smithfield, RI. After the passing of her husband, Wanda moved to Amsterdam, NY to live with her daughter Georgia Ross where she enjoyed her last years being with her daughter, watching her great-grandchildren's sporting events, family dinners and the often visits from her grandchildren.Wanda was a woman of God. She loved the church. She had a voice that you'd hear for decades in every church choir that she had the opportunity to join. Wanda also had a belly laugh that could fill an entire room with happiness and joy. She found great joy in working with many different foundations. She was passionate about the work she did with women/people who needed an extra hand or didn't have many options. Finding them jobs, housing, and safe places to start their life over. She found joy in also participating in the breast cancer foundation after her own battle. She and her husband George participated in many local church food pantries and drives. Wanda was a spicy woman who strongly believed in doing the right thing and standing up for people. She often taught us that if people needed it "it's okay to put a little fear of God into them." She welcomed many friends of her kids and grandkids no matter their background or beliefs and treated them as family. Welcoming them into her home, reminding them to bring a nice shirt for Sunday service. Wanda enjoyed "getting the tea" from her grand and great grandchildren. Hearing the new stories and happenings of everything. Always wanting to be involved. Being silly in the kitchen showing off her belly dancing skills to the grands while making them dance with her. Always making a show of them having a nice outfit on and saying "WELL HOT-SEE-TAH." Never shying away from telling them (or their friends) when they were being a sh** head or to "get their head outta their a**." Wanda enjoyed sitting at the table with George watching their birds at the feeder while drinking coffee together. Making sure that damn squirrel let her birds eat and didn't bother them. Wanda enjoyed reading books so much they lined every wall of her bedroom. She later joined a book club with her granddaughter Shelby where she liked to remind her that her taste in books was very much sub-par. Wanda blessed us with 93 beautiful years of living life to the fullest. She played the whole game and went out on her own terms. For that, her family is grateful. They are blessed to know she is finally in his kingdom with the love of her life George.Service will be private for family and ones closest to Wanda. Just her and her girls.
