May 28, 1936— March 11, 2026
Boardman, OH
Wanda J. Hill, 89, of Boardman, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at her home.
Born on May 28, 1936, in Kenova, Ohio, Wanda was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Elkins and Nellie M. Kennedy Elkins. She moved to the Youngstown area in 1965 and made it her home for the rest of her life. A 1954 graduate of South Point High School, she worked for many years at Mahoning National Bank in Wedgewood Plaza before retiring.
Wanda was a woman of deep faith, kindness, and generosity who was always there for those who needed her. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and loved vacationing, especially at the beach. A gifted decorator and the matriarch of her family, she created beautiful spaces and magical Christmas celebrations that became treasured memories for her loved ones. She touched everything with beauty and grace, and her devotion as a grandmother and great-grandmother brought joy to all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Kimberly M. (Charles) Seamons of Boardman, Patrick (Julie) Hill of Austintown, Tamara (Michael) Kishok of Berlin Center, and Deborah (Richard) Conger of Austintown; her grandchildren, Shawna, Jacob, Rebecca, Rachel, Olivia, Shelby, and Sam; her great-grandchildren, Audrina, Brooklyn, Tiana, Donovan, Travis, and Aurora; and many beloved extended family members.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold E. Hill, whom she married on December 3, 1955, and who passed away on August 20, 1984; her son, Mitchell E. Hill; her granddaughter, Marie Hill; her sisters, Joanne Dudley, Doris Phillips, Helen Whaley, Maxine Clark, and Donna Daubenmire; and her brothers, Denver Elkins, Robert Elkins, and Harold Elkins.
