Walter J. Lopez, 62, of Stroud Township, passed away on March 13, 2026 at Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus in Philadelphia. He was the beloved husband of Georgiana Lopez, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage.

Born on November 19, 1963 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Walter lived in Monroe County since 1994, having previously resided in Brooklyn, New York. He worked as a mental health counselor at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, New Jersey, and was a longtime member of The Church of St. Luke in Stroudsburg.

He is survived by his wife Georgiana; his mother and stepfather, Daisy Salano (Orellana) and Vincent Salano; his five children, Amanda Molina, Judith Frankovic and her husband David, Walter “TJ” Lopez and his wife Juliana, Brandon Lopez, and Isabella Lopez; seven grandchildren, Jaedon, Elijah, Charlotte, Bennett, Felicity, Sofia, and Levi; five siblings, Ingrid Hernandez, Maynor “Mike” Lopez, Tony Rodriguez, Karina Lopez, and Tiffany Dellamo; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his godchild, Daisy Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Antonio Lopez.

Walter will be remembered for his dedication to helping others and the quiet strength he brought to his family and community.
