Walter H. Weidman, Jr.

Walter H. Weidman, Jr., 65, of Cresco, Northampton County, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Walter H. Weidman, Sr., and Virginia M. (James) Weidman. A 1978 graduate of Hamburg Area High School, Walt spent many years working at Fine Wine & Good Spirits in Cresco, retiring on August 15, 2025.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey M. Weidman and his life partner Kyra Sidwell of Pottstown, and Joseph J. Weidman and his wife Bethany Weidman of Pottstown; two grandchildren, Malia J. Weidman and Everett J. Weidman; and two sisters, Audrey K. Hess of Hamburg and Sheryl L. Yoder of North Carolina.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s (Gernant’s) Cemetery on Gernant’s Church Road in Leesport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boomers Angels Animal Rescue or the Kidney Fund.
