Walter Allen Wilkins, age 78, of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on February 7, 1948, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of the late Lory Allen and Geneva Frances Strawderman Wilkins.

Mr. Wilkins retired from his position in maintenance at the Rhema Christian Center. Earlier in his professional life, he was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was involved in the delivery and installation of mobile homes. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Rhema Christian Center.

Mr. Wilkins found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as participating in camping, fishing, and hunting. He took pride in maintaining his yard and flowerbeds to exacting standards. Mr. Wilkins was known for his industrious nature and rarely sat idle.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Marlene Shipley and Nelson Wilkins, and his in-laws, Wilbur and Hazel Morgan.

Survivors include his devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Kathy Sue Morgan Wilkins; his son, Tony Allen Wilkins Sr. (Hannah Thompson); his brother, Barry Wilkins (Nancy); his sister, Patsy Delawder (Merl); brothers-in-law, Percy “Buddy” Morgan (Ronnie) and Leslie Morgan (Cora); sister-in-law, Sharon Wilkins; grandchildren, Tony Allen Wilkins Jr. (Karleigh) and Desiree Wilkins (Matt Blackburn); step-grandson, Easton Workman; great-grandchildren, Mary Hintersteiner, Emma Brooks, and Conner Brooks; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many cherished friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Rhema Christian Center, with Pastor Stewart Farley, Pastor Lewie Moyer, and Pastor Kenny Baker officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Interment will follow the service at Morgan Cemetery in Ronceverte, West Virginia. The family would like to thank Kris Walker for the wonderful care provided.
