He was the oldest of four children. Preceded in death by his parents, twobrothers: Don Loper of Oklahoma City and Joe Loper of Acworth GA.He is survived by his sister, Gail Shipley of Oklahoma City, OK, children LyleLoper of Shelbyville, IN, Angela (Mike) McCoy of Crossville TN, Ruby (Tom)Hughes of Mascot, TN, and Wallace Jr. (Lana) of Fairland, IN.He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host ofnieces and nephews and other loved ones.Wallace served in the US Navy from 1951-1953, working on aircraft engines atMiramar, CA.Wallace spent his life in production management and manufacturing whilemaintaining an active role in his local church while raising four children in Indianawith his wife Alene, whom he was married to for 35 years.Wallace enjoyed all sorts of activities, including hunting and fishing, bowling,softball and all kinds of games.He continued his production management career later in Knoxville TN beforerelocating back to Indiana, where he volunteered to become a first responder asan Industrial Medical Technician.He later remarried to Deanna Crosley, with whom he spent 25 years activelypursuing family history projects, traveling and maintaining activity and service intheir church, including serving a two-year mission among the Navajo.In his later years, after moving to Tennessee, Wallace was cared for by his familyuntil finally succumbing to the frailties of his advanced age.Services for Wallace Loper Sr. will be held on Sunday, March 8th , 2026 at TheChurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1550 Genesis Rd, Crossville TNwith viewing at 5pm, followed by memorial service at 6pm.Interment on Monday, March 9th , 2026 at 10 am at Crossville City Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
