Wallace “Wally” E. Covert, 90, of Verona, passed peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at UPMC East in Monroeville. He was reunited with his beloved wife, Patricia. Born to the late Alma and Wallace Covert Sr., Wally was a devoted husband to Pat and a cherished brother to Sandy (John) Steele of Ormond Beach, Florida.
He is remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, Shannon and Shawn (Kelly), and his great-nieces and nephews, Tyler, Hunter, Camryn, and Sutton. Wally’s quiet strength and steadfast love for his family defined his long life, leaving a legacy of warmth and quiet devotion in the hearts of those who knew him best.
He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Greenwood Memorial Park.
