Shearer, Sr. and Beulah Canady Shearer, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired pattern designer and chef, and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church.Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Judith Brank Shearer of the home; a son, Rickie Lewis Shearer (Vickie) of Laurens; a daughter, Reesa Shearer Bindas (Michael) of Greer; five grandchildren, Matthew Shearer, Jacob Shearer, Hannah Riddle (Travis), Michaela Bindas, and Reese Bindas; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Riddle, Tanner Riddle, and John Tal Riddle.He was predeceased by three brothers, Bill Shearer, Charles Shearer, and Reese Shearer, Jr., and four sisters, Nellie Mae Leonard, Ruth Evans, Mildred Vehorn, and Lucy Jane Wilson.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Dr. Frank Page.
