W. T. Roberts, Jr.

W. T. Roberts, Jr., 89, of Louisville and formerly of Shelby County, died on March 9, 2026. A dedicated professional, he served as a field representative for the Kentucky Unemployment Tax Department, conducting audits and tax collections, and later spent ten years as supervisor of the Unemployment Tax Accounting Section in Frankfort before retiring. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics from Georgetown College, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

A longtime member of Shelbyville First Baptist Church, W. T. was also deeply involved with The Harbours in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he served on the Board of Directors, acting as Assistant Treasurer and President. He contributed many years to both the Audit Committee and the Finance Committee. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.

He is remembered fondly by his many friends at The Harbours, Treyton Oak Towers, the Clark County Hospital Gift Shop, where he volunteered, and the University of Louisville.
