Vohnie L. Rabuck

Vohnie L. Rabuck, née Roof, 95, of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Cottage Care Circle in Mauston, Wisconsin. Born on September 27, 1930, to Timothy and Roselyn Roof (née Morris), she graduated from Tomah High School in 1948 and later from Juneau County Teacher’s College in 1972. In 1975 she earned her Wisconsin Real Estate Broker’s license and, together with her husband Fred, operated Rabuck Realty in New Lisbon for many years. She and Frederick G. Rabuck were married on December 26, 1948, and shared 59 years together.

Vohnie loved to travel, read, play cards, and spend time visiting with family and friends. Resilient and determined, she was remembered by those who knew her as loving, kind, cheerful, and supportive. She took great pleasure in carefully chronicling her life through picture albums, meticulously labeling each photograph and arranging them in chronological order, treasures that her family has enjoyed greatly and will always cherish.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick G. Rabuck, her parents Timothy and Roselyn Roof, her sisters Harriet DeLapp, Rosemary Long, Carolee Linenberg, and Sharon Lewis, her brothers Stanley and Robert, and her fiancé Lawrence Arnold.

Vohnie is survived by her children Steven F. Rabuck of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin, Sonia Lee (née Rabuck) and husband Larry of Milford, Texas, and John Rabuck and wife Teresa of Caledonia, Minnesota; her grandchildren Jason Rabuck (Jennifer), Tiffani LaJeunesse, Lori Lee (Greg), Erin Golden (née Lee) (David), Joshua Lee (Sarah), Cody Rabuck, and Kade Howe; her great-grandchildren Morgan, Grady, Josie, Jacob, Caleb, and Preslee; her sister-in-law Judith Thompson (née Rabuck); and a large extended family.
