Vivian Marie Windsor Barbee

Vivian Marie Windsor Barbee, 73, of Winston-Salem, passed away on March 12, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.

Born on May 14, 1952, in Iredell County to John Carl Windsor Jr. and Marie Reavis Windsor, Vivian dedicated more than 40 years of her life to nursing, retiring as an RN with a deep commitment to caring for others. She found joy in crafts, gardening, and shopping, and she was an avid supporter of the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team. A woman of quiet generosity, she took special pleasure in donating to the Baptist Children’s Home in Thomasville. She was a longtime and faithful member of Maplewood Baptist Church.

Vivian was preceded in death by her father, her husband of 53 years, Gary Wayne Barbee, her son Terry Wayne Barbee, and her daughter Meredith Ann Barbee. She is survived by her mother, Marie Windsor; her brother, Tim Windsor (Tammy); her sister-in-law, Kathy Motsinger (Steve); three nephews, Daniel Windsor (Georgia), Jason Collins (Brandi), and Matthew Windsor; one niece, Elizabeth Windsor; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.
