Vito J. Damore

We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2026, at the age of 95, Vito J. Damore of Fox Lake, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Vito may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his children, Elaine Yanzito and Anthony Damore. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Blouch (William), Vito Damore (Pema), Linda Hughes, Herman Damore and Joseph Damore; his sister-in-law Pat Damore; and his son-in-law Robert Yanzito. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kristan Funeral Home (219 W Maple Ave, Mundelein, IL 60060). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
