Virginia Rose McDaniel passed away at the age of 104 in Yuba City, California. Born on December 24, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York, Virginia was a cherished grandmother, mother, and friend whose warmth and vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. From a young age, she cared for her four siblings, a responsibility that reflected the nurturing and resilient nature she carried throughout her life. She was known for her big personality, creativity, and wonderful sense of humor.
Virginia and her husband, Jim, were active members of the Thousand Trails camping club and spent many happy years traveling across the United States in their motor home. She loved to read, cherished her community, and remained fiercely independent. Virginia volunteered in elementary schools, tutoring children and sharing her love of reading. She also crocheted clothing for infants in the hospital, offering comfort to families she would never meet. Known for her strong personality and quick wit, she spoke her mind and lived life on her own terms.
After more than a century of living and sharing her stories, Virginia leaves behind a legacy of strength, humor, and spirit that will remain with her family always. She is survived by her children Ginny and Robin, her beloved grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her children Joan and Bill.
