Gaeta was born May 21, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas to Simon and Cedelia Guerrero. She passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 91.Mrs. Gaeta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rudolfo "Rudy" L. Gaeta in 2014; a sister, Mary Mesa; and two brothers: Macario Rodriguez and Rudy D. Guerrero.Survivors include her daughters: Sally G. Ruiz and husband Larry, and Isabel G. Lunaand husband John; her son, Rudy Gaeta and wife Sonia; sister: Rosie Mercado; 6grandchildren: Vincent A. Ruiz, Marcus A. Ruiz, Alexandria N. Jauregui, Johnathon E.Luna, Danielle Nicole Gaeta, and Francisco Eduardo Gaeta; 5 great-grandchildren: Liam C Ruiz, Noah "Bear" T Ruiz, Luna R Jauregui, Ellie A Jauregui, and Ella H. Luna; and numerous nieces and nephews.Momma passed away surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. She was a hardworking and devoted woman who dedicated many years of service to the Bimbee's Shoe Factory and later worked in the Dining Hall at Lackland Air Force Base, where she proudly served countless service men with warmth and kindness. Her strong work ethic and caring spirit touched many lives throughout her years of employment.A committed and involved mother, she was an active member of the PTA at Carroll Bell Elementary and 4-H Club always present and supportive in her children's school activities. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did. Momma was a talented seamstress with gifted hands and a creative heart. She crocheted, embroidered, and loved crafting. She made the most beautiful clothing, costumes, blankets, and treasured holiday mementos for her children, grandchildren, and extended family never hesitating to pour her time and love into every stitch. Her creations were more than handmade gifts; they were lasting expressions of her devotion.She stood faithfully by our father's side in every season of life. Whether he picked up extra work or side jobs, she was right there beside him, working alongside him with strength and partnership.She also enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Momma loved going to the casinos, where she had fun, shared laughs, and made happy memories. She was a proud member of the St Lawrence Senior Loteria Fellowship Group, where she enjoyed friendship, fellowship, and community.Above all, she loved being with her family. Momma was filled with warmth, laughter, and the comfort of knowing you were deeply loved. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she nurtured, the traditions she created, and the memories that will forever be cherished. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.Visitation will begin on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 5:00 pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
