Virginia Mariotti ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Berarducci Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center - Providence on Mar. 17, 2026.She is survived by her two sons, Donald Mariotti and his wife Sharon of N. Smithfield, and Richard Mariotti of Providence and his partner Marianne Black. Virginia was predeceased by her two brothers, Richard and Robert Conca, and her sister, Teresa DeLorenzo. She also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren-Nicholas, Hannah, Kaitlin, and Lucas, Mason her first Great grandchild and one she will be meeting before their arrival-as well as her American shorthaired cat, Rosie, whom she affectionately called Mama.Virginia was a devoted mother with a zest for life. She loved shopping for knickknacks and decorating her home, bringing warmth and personality to every room. Known for her unique personality, sense of humor, strength, and loving nature, Virginia was truly an enigma with a huge personality. She enjoyed Italian food and sharing meals with family and friends. In her younger years, Virginia was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, finding comfort and community in her faith throughout her life. She encouraged others to stand up for themselves, teaching that there's a difference between real danger and "just words," a lesson that shaped how she navigated her own challenges, Virginia's authenticity and care for those around her were unwavering-she truly gave of herself, both literally and emotionally, and was a rock for everyone. Her love extended beyond her immediate family. She embraced Marianne's son, Thomas Seibert, with genuine affection and valued him in a way few others did, showing a depth of kindness that meant everything to her. Thomas gave her Rosie, her beloved cat, further strengthening the bond she created with those around her. Virginia's impact was felt everywhere she went; even as her health declined and she needed frequent care, she formed close relationships with the staff at Roger Williams, who became like family to her.As Hannah described, Virginia was everyone's rock-loved and admired wherever she went. Her legacy is not only in the family she cherished, but in the countless ways she made those she met feel seen, valued, and loved, her strength, wit, and generosity will be remembered always. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as her legacy of love, laughter, and strength continues to inspire those she leaves behind.Services have been entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home, Providence.
