Virginia G. Condon

Virginia G. Condon, a longtime resident of Dutchess County, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center at the age of 83.

Born on January 30, 1943, in Mt. Vernon, New York, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Minnie (Bally) Hartmann. On September 2, 1962, in Mt. Vernon, she married the love of her life, Thomas Condon Sr., who predeceased her in 2016.

Virginia worked for many years as an Office Manager at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle. She was an active member of the “Sew Whats” sewing club and found joy in volunteering at Vanderbilt Gardens, teaching Brain Games at the LaGrange Library, and assisting at local election polls. She loved sewing, quilting, spending time on Facebook, playing computer games, and especially cherished moments with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed chatting with friends over meals and while sightseeing in the area.

She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Condon Jr. (Peggy), Barbara Darcy (John), and Debra Condon (Robert Kootz). She was a proud grandmother to Joseph Condon (Lauren Anthony), Kevin Condon (Emily), Kyle Darcy (Blanca), Bryan Darcy, Michael Darcy, and Anthony Rivera, and a great-grandmother to Freddy, Evelyn, Liliana, Jack, and Zaley. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Denise Condon.
