Preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents: Joseph and Magdalena Kuntz, her brothers George, Cletus and Jack and sisters Mary, Rosie and Laurie. Survived by her children: Eric (Sarah Warwick) and Kim Johnson; grandson: Jack; sister Agatha (Don) Miller, sister-in-law Myrna Johnson and by other loving nieces, nephews and friends.Ginny was raised in Hillsboro, North Dakota graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1960. She grew up on the family farm where she helped with her siblings and the chores associated with farm life and it was often her job as one of the younger children to feed the chickens. She attended the University of North Dakota where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and met her future husband Bob. Bob and Ginny were married in 1963 and moved to Bloomington, Minnesota where Ginny worked in downtown Minneapolis, so she could commute with Bob at work. They lived in Bloomington for the next 35 years before retiring to Lakeville where they lived for the remainder of her life.Ginny was a caretaker for her family; first by raising Eric and Kim and later caring for Bob as his battle with Parkinson's disease progressed. She also worked for 20+ years in the Bloomington school district; first at the Poplar Bridge Elementary School library and later in the high school with Project Re-entry, which helped people trying to re-enter high school and earn their high school diplomas.Ginny loved attending art fairs, following local and professional sports teams, puzzles, bingo and playing Sudoku. She spent many nights working on puzzles on vacation and would often be the person spending the most time on the newest puzzle at her home at the Pillars of Lakeville. She enjoyed being active by playing tennis and golf with her family and also going for walks around the 'small and big' blocks surrounding the home in Bloomington.Ginny enjoyed traveling with Bob, Eric and Kim with trips through the years to Hawaii, California, Alaska, Florida and North Dakota. She especially enjoyed the winter trips to Destin Florida, where she had the chance to enjoy the sun, sand beaches and visiting the local restaurants and shops.Ginny loved the family dog Snoopy, who she often referred to as her third child. Later she cared for her fur grandchildren so Eric and Kim could travel. She especially loved her grandson Jack, who in turn would refer to her as Gram. She would follow Jack's sports, theater and academic endeavors and was especially proud of his studies at the University of Minnesota.A memorial service will be held for Ginny at Mercy Road Church in Lakeville in May, followed by the interment of Ashes at St. John's Cemetery in Hatton, North Dakota in July.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
