Violet Marie Cassidy

Violet Marie Cassidy, 47, of Rushville, Illinois, passed away on March 7, 2026, at her residence.

Born on January 14, 1979, in Peoria, Illinois, Violet was the daughter of Edward “Flintstone” Cassidy and Margie Fuller. She graduated from Manual High School in Peoria in 1998. Violet had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her daughter. At the time of her passing, she was taking online classes with the goal of becoming a counselor.

She is survived by her mother, Margie Cassidy; her daughter, Chloe Jones; and her siblings: Jason (Elizabeth) Cassidy, Billy Cassidy, Norman Cassidy, Raymond Cassidy, Christopher Cassidy, Jamie Cassidy, Shane Cassidy, Ed. Cassidy Jr., Pauline Cassidy, Carrie Cassidy, Datitana Cassidy, Dayllonie Cassidy, Dantwonet Cassidy, Tiana Cassidy, Scott McIrvin, Robert McIrvin, Millie McIrvin, Bill McIrvin, Angie McIrvin, Jimmy McIrvin, Jerry McIrvin, George McIrvin, and Jackie McIrvin. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Violet was preceded in death by her father, Edward Cassidy; her son, Jayden; and her siblings, Bill Cassidy, Debbie Grantham, Brenda Strevels, and Johnny Cassidy.
