Violet Frances O'Malley, 86, a 30-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Laurel, MD passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. Born on May 22, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Robert Taylor and Violet Denny, Violet graduated from Rosemont College with a B.A. in History. As a devoted wife and mother, she travelled the U.S. and the world with her husband, Ed and four children including stops in Singapore and Japan. Violet loved to spend time with her four children, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Violet also enjoyed bridge, traveling, reading, and history. She was a member of the St. Mary's parish in Annapolis, MD.In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Edward J. O'Malley, Sr.; as well as her daughter, Mary O'Malley Nicholas. She is survived by her three children, Edward O'Malley, Jr. of Ellicott City, MD, Kevin O'Malley of Ellicott City, MD, and Violet Corrigan of Tega Cay, SC; her brothers, Robert Taylor of CA and Richard Taylor of PA; and her sister, Carol Kitchin of GA.Family and friends are invited to celebrate Violet's life on Wednesday, March 11 from 4 to 7 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037, where her funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 11 am.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society (P.O.
