Viola Margaret Ryniker

Viola Margaret Ryniker, age 88, of McEwen, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at NHC in Dickson, Tennessee. She was born on February 3, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Grace Wilcox Wimmer.

Throughout her life, Viola expressed a gentle and creative spirit through her love of crocheting and knitting, devoting many hours to crafting beautiful and intricate pieces. She also found quiet joy in classic television, particularly the humor of “I Love Lucy,” and took great pleasure in the music and enduring legacy of Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Fredrick Ryniker, Jr. (Tamie) of Indiana, Allen Ryniker of Georgia, and Robert Ryniker (Patty) of Utah; her daughters, Cathy Harrington of Idaho and Tina Gutierrez of Mexico; her brothers, Ralph Wimmer, Robert Wimmer, and John Wimmer; her sisters, Cathy Taylor, Linda Schickel, Judy Cannon, and Joan Daugherty; 28 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, William P. Wimmer and Grace Wilcox Wimmer; her husband, Donald Fredrick Ryniker; her daughters, Debra Yates, Tammy Almaraz, and Jody Ryniker; her brothers, William Wimmer, James Wimmer, and Rex Wimmer; her son-in-law, Joel Gutierrez; and her daughter-in-law, Hilda Ryniker. A private burial will take place in Meadowlawn Cemetery.
