Vincenzo Pellegrino

Toronto, ON

Vincenzo Pellegrino, whose vibrant spirit and boundless warmth touched the hearts of everyone he met, passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on October 2, 1934, in the small village of Gagliato in Calabria, Vincenzo lived a life rich in love, laughter, and kindness. His social grace drew people together, his steady love served as a beacon for his family, and his genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Family was the heart of Vincenzo’s world. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Margaret, and their son Joey. He leaves behind his loving children, Olga (Joe), Nick (Tina), and Johnny. A proud and devoted Nonno, he cherished his grandchildren John Paul (Sophie), Danielle, Joseph (Amber), Natalie (Erik), Vincent (Megan), Nicolas, and Joseph, who carry forward his generous spirit and loving nature. His legacy of joy continues through his great-granddaughters, Ellie May and Lucianne.

Known as the loudest and proudest Italian in any room, Vincenzo delighted in sharing endless stories of his ancestral roots and was always the most popular presence at family gatherings. He stayed closely connected to his paesani through frequent calls, whether they were in Toronto, New York, or back in Catanzaro. He will be remembered for his homemade vino served in San Pellegrino bottles, the homegrown grapes and vegetables from his giardino, and the sound of CHIN FM always playing in the garage.
