Victoria Stephanie Marie Ward Rowe, born April 10, 1976, passed away peacefully at her home in Paynesville, West Virginia, on March 11, 2026, at the age of 49, with her loving husband by her side.
Stephanie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. She never knew a stranger and welcomed all with an open heart. Her infectious smile could light up any room, and she held a special love for animals and children, cherishing every moment spent with them. She possessed a beautiful voice and a gift for playing the piano, often using her talents to worship and praise the Lord. Above all, Stephanie loved the Lord deeply and lived her life as a reflection of her faith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Darrell Rowe of Paynesville, West Virginia; her father, Billy Ward and wife Lynn Ward of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; her daughter, Cortney Hale of Lebanon, Virginia; sons Austin Hale of Patterson, Virginia, and Ethan Hale of Lebanon, Virginia; stepchildren Brandon Rowe and wife Megan, and Chantel (Nikki) Rowe; and cherished grandchildren Elliott, Addison, and Xander Hale and Randon and Aria Rowe. She is also survived by her grandmother, Olga “Vicky” Ward of Richlands, Virginia; brother Stephen Ward and wife Lori of Tracy, California, and their children Isabella, Elisha, and Josiah; and her loving aunt, best friend, and confidant, Sally Jo Cooper. Additional survivors include her mother-in-law, Dorothy Rowe; brother-in-law Anthony Rowe; sister-in-law Loretta (Jamie) Jewell; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Ward; grandparents Macado and Lena Mullins and Thomas Ward; father-in-law Loranza Rowe; nephew Johnathan Jewell; and several other nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family and faith will live on in the many lives she touched. A faithful member of Summit Missionary Baptist Church in Paynesville, her beautiful voice and piano now continue to lift praises in Heaven.
