Victoria Myers

March 13, 1951 February 12, 2026

Kingwood, TX

Victoria Kennard Myers, born on March 13, 1951, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long struggle with dementia and related complications.

Victoria lived in Kingwood for over 40 years, where she devoted herself to caring for and nurturing her family. A registered nurse, she worked at Northeast Hospital and later taught nursing students at Lone Star College. She was an active member of Kingwood United Methodist Church and spent many joyful hours supporting young athletes on local youth soccer fields.

Born into an Air Force family, she was raised by Lt. Col. (Ret.) Harold Mortimer Kennard and Lily Anne Kennard, growing up alongside her older brothers, Bruce and Dave, and her younger sister, Kerry. From a young age, Victoria knew she wanted to become a nurse, tending to her dolls’ imaginary ailments as her family moved across the United States and Germany. She began volunteering as a candy striper as soon as she was old enough and went on to attend the respected nursing program at Syracuse University from 1969 to 1973. There she met her husband, Tom, a star football player, while she cheered on the sidelines. They fell in love quickly and married in Syracuse, New York, on May 26, 1973.

The couple lived in New Orleans, Eugene, Oregon, and Los Altos, California, during Tom’s years with the New Orleans Saints. In 1979 they welcomed their first child, Whitney, followed by Kent, Todd, and Jordan. After Tom’s football career ended, the family settled in Houston. Victoria balanced her nursing career with raising her children, offering them unwavering support through phone calls, care packages, and frequent visits as they pursued their own paths in academia, business, and the military.

Known for her warmth and kindness, Victoria found her greatest happiness in caring for others—her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, students, and beloved pets. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Tom, and their children: Whitney Myers and Brian Madden; Kent and Tatiana Myers; Todd and Alina Myers; and Jordan and Brian Von Hagel. She leaves behind ten grandchildren who brought her endless laughter and cherished stories. Victoria will be remembered always for the way she loved—fully, generously, and with joy.
