Victoria Denise Cobb

The family of Victoria (Vikki) Denise Cobb of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, mourns her passing on March 8, 2026, at the age of 74.

Born on December 27, 1951, in Cheraw, South Carolina, Vikki spent her childhood there before moving to Missouri in 1968 to help her sister Cheryl. What began as a short visit became her lifelong home, and she spent most of her years in the Kansas City metro area. She worked at Job Corps, SA Maxwell, and Extra over the years. Vikki had two sons with her first husband, Michael Hartwick, Sr., and being their mother was one of the greatest joys of her life. She took great pride in watching her family grow and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.

On September 1, 1978, she married Steven Cobb, beginning a partnership that lasted nearly 42 years. Vikki loved science fiction books and movies, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with family and caring for the beloved pets who held a special place in her heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Robb (Melissa) Hartwick; daughter-in-law, Kerri Doughty; grandchildren Haley (Sean) Fulton, Tanner Hartwick, Dakota (Kyli) Hartwick, Madisyn (Jadon) Palmer, and Jackson Hartwick; great-grandchild Adeline Hartwick; sister Cheryl Miller; nieces Rachel (Eddie) Freeman and Cassandra (Bo) Freeman; nephews Philip Allred, Ken (Jill) Miller, Jr., Quentin Miller, and Richard (Jo Ann) Freeman; and many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Cobb, son Michael Hartwick Jr., parents John and Tallie Allred, sister Nancie Freeman, brother John Lorenzo Allred, brothers-in-law Charles Freeman and Ken Miller, and nephew John Miller.
