Preserve forever →Victoria "Vicky" de Verteuil
December 13, 1931— March 6, 2026
Miami, FL
Victoria Rosabella de Verteuil was born on December 13, 1931, in the countryside of Cunupia, Trinidad and Tobago, one of ten children born to Joseph and Caroline Gloudon. Known for her kind heart, strong determination, and fierce loyalty to her family, Vicky was beloved for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and always perfectly salon-prepped nails.
She married Anthony Roland on December 26, 1960. Together they raised six children in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to Miami in 1988 to begin a new chapter. Their home became the heart of the family, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories as new generations joined the fold.
Ever hardworking, Vicky returned to school later in life and proudly earned a degree in Medical Records from Miami Dade College at the age of 61. She continued working until the age of 80 with the Department of Motor Vehicles. She enjoyed life fully—trying her luck with the lottery, sharing her delicious meals with family, and never missing her daytime soaps. Often seen scooting around in her black Lexus, she could be heard singing along to ABBA or The Sound of Music.
Victoria passed away at the age of 94 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Anthony, their six children, 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her love, strength, and joyful spirit will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
