Victoria de Verteuil ObituaryPublished by Legacy on Mar. 9, 2026.Victoria Rosabella de Verteuil was born in the countryside of Cunupia, Trinidad and Tobago, on December 13th, 1931. Vicky was one of ten children born to Joseph and Caroline Gloudon. Vicky was known for her kind heart, strong determination, and fierce loyalty to her family. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and perfectly salon-prepped nails.She wed Anthony Roland on December 26th, 1960, and together they raised six children in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to Miami in 1988 to begin a new life in a new country. The home they built there became the heart of the family, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories as their family grew to include new generations.Ever hardworking and determined, Vicky continued her education later in life and proudly graduated from Miami Dade College with a Degree in Medical Records at the age of 61. All this while working until the remarkable age of 80 with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Vicky also knew how to enjoy life. She loved trying her luck with the lottery and sharing her delicious meals with her family. We quickly learned never to interrupt her during her daytime soaps. Scooting around in her black Lexus, she could be heard singing along to ABBA or The Sound of Music soundtrack.Her love, strength, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.Vicky took her last breath at the age of 94, in the presence of family, while in the comfort of her own home.Victoria is survived by her husband, Anthony, of 65 years, her 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. As a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she cherished every moment with her family and friends.Legacy.com reports daily on death announcements in local communities nationwide.
