Victor Sumter Vierra Jr.

Victor Sumter Vierra Jr., 65, of Warren, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 5, 2026, at his home after an illness. Born on August 27, 1960, in Frankfurt, Germany, he was the son of the late Col. Victor Sumter Vierra Sr. and Jean Hope Stewart Vierra, who survives him. Victor previously lived in Flat Rock, North Carolina, before settling in Warren. He worked as an electrical engineer at United Refining from 2006 to 2012, at Georgia Pacific in Mt. Jewett from 2014 to 2022, and most recently at Quest/Web Tech in Erie until his illness in 2025. He had a lifelong passion for photography and was always searching for the perfect shot.

Victor was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Warren. On June 3, 2006, he married Beth Ann Kaplan in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and she survives him.

In addition to his wife, Beth, and his mother, Jean Hope Vierra of Columbus, North Carolina, Victor is survived by his children, Sarah Kirby and her husband Terry of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Steffen Fischer and Karyn of Asheville, North Carolina, as well as his sister, Lisa Hope Vierra-Moore of Hendersonville, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Kent Stewart Vierra.
