Victor Mosetti of Johnstown, New York, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Born on March 9, 1945, in Gloversville to the late Bruno and Margaret Javerone Mosetti, he proudly served in the United States Army before beginning a long career as a machinist at General Electric in Schenectady.
Victor was known for his quick wit and love of making others laugh. He cherished time spent with family and friends, especially during holidays and birthdays. An avid athlete, he played in softball leagues and once pitched a no-hitter. He found great joy in riding his Harley, camping, and spending winters in Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Yost Mosetti; his children, Vanessa, Scott (Tina), and Greg (Kristen); his stepchildren, Sara (Ed), Vicki (Mike), Jennifer, and Rachael; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Alex), Scottie (Catherine), Deryk, Rachel (Tyler), Brittni, Andrew (Lexie), Gregory Jr., Rebecca (Craig), and Kyle; eleven step-grandchildren, Zachary, Dakota, Madison, Hudson, Kameron, Calliope, Landon, Tyler, Owen, Shawn, and Peyton; great-grandchildren Dillon, Gabriella, Emma, Mauriana, Adrien, and Carter; and great-great-granddaughter LaiLani. He is also survived by his brother, John (Bonnie), his mother-in-law Marion, brothers-in-law Merle Jr. and Michael, sister-in-law Michelle (Jeff), cousin Anthony Polenski, who was like a brother, his beloved dogs Cooper and Amigo, and many nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Victor was predeceased by his former wife, Jeanette, his daughter Vickie Bornt, his sister Lucille Capano, his niece Luanne Marek, and his father-in-law Merle Yost Sr.
