Victor Manuel Burnias, Jr.
July 29, 1992— March 3, 2026
San Benito, TX
With a heavy heart, we announce that Victor Manuel Burnias Jr. suddenly passed away. Victor was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and strength to those around him. He touched the lives of many with his generous spirit and unwavering dedication to the people he loved. Victor was a quiet and reserved person, but once he entered the Zuniga family, we welcomed him and “broke him in” as one of our own.
Victor is survived by his loving wife, Daniela Z. Burnias, and their beloved daughter, Olivia Rae Burnias, who brought immense joy to their lives. He is also survived by his daughters, Maya A. Burnias and Kaylee A. Serrato, whom he loved deeply and was proud to call his own. Victor is also survived by his father, Victor Manuel Burnias, and Susana Sandoval. His mother instilled in him manners and respect, while his father taught him the value of hard work—lessons he carried with him throughout his life.
He leaves behind his siblings, Hugo (Ariseth) Burnias, Andres Burnias, Luis Burnias, and Veronica Burnias along with nieces and nephews.
Victor is also lovingly remembered by his extended family: his mother-in-law, Hilda Zuniga;
sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Anthony) Johnson II, Lydia Zuniga, Monica (Remberto) Coto, Rebecca (Baldemar) Hernandez, and Eva Zuniga; and brothers-in-law, Luis (JoAnna) Zuniga, Joe (Jennifer) Zuniga, Jaime (Dora) Zuniga, Mario and Carlos Zuniga.
He is further survived by his special aunts and uncles, Francisco (Maria) Esparza and Jesus (Patricia) Burnias, who were also his godparents; and his cousin, Noemi Rodriguez, who played a meaningful role in his life. It was through Noemi that Daniela and Victor first met, a connection that led to a loving marriage and the beautiful family they built together.
Victor shared a special friendship with Jerry Garcias (AKA, Cherry), Lucio Valero (AKA, Chongo), and his brother-in-law Mario Zuniga. These gentlemen were his hanging-out buddies—people he enjoyed spending time with and felt comfortable talking with and sharing conversations.
Victor shared a special bond with his beloved pet, Hank, who predeceased him. Victor had always wanted a boy, and Hank was truly his boy—always by his side, bringing him joy, companionship.
Victor worked at The Casas Group for over 13 years, where his colleagues were not just co-workers but truly part of his extended family. He was deeply dedicated to the company that had supported him and his family, and in return, he gave his loyalty, hard work, and heart to help the company grow. Victor was proud to represent the company and always wanted to advertise it, often using his shirt to promote it. Those who knew him there will remember his dedication, warmth, and the way he uplifted everyone around them.
Those who knew Victor will remember him as someone who was always willing to offer a helping hand, no matter the situation. His generous spirit, hardworking nature, and caring heart made a lasting impact on the lives of many.
The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to his boss, Luis Casas, for his kindness, understanding, and support during difficult times. Victor shared a unique and special bond with him, one that allowed Victor to feel comfortable confiding in him and trusting his guidance.
A special appreciation is extended to his brother-in-law, Carlos Zuniga, who was always a dependable back-up whenever help was needed, especially when it came to caring for Olivia.
Victor was preceded in death by his uncle, Daniel Burnias; his paternal grandparents, Maria Guadalupe Salazar and Jesus Burnias; his maternal grandparents, Maria Isabella Arguella and Jose Gilberto Sandoval; and his father-in-law, Luis Zuniga Jr.
Victor’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
The Burnias family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.
